The Cornish-Windsor covered bridge crosses the Connecticut River, connecting Vermont and New Hampshire. The bridge has been rebuilt three different times. Once in 1796, 1824, and 1928, due to being destroyed by floods. It is the longest wooden covered bridge in the United States and the longest two-span covered bridge in the world. The American Society of Civil Engineers designated it as a National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark in 1970.
